Oma Tafua is dedicated to the conservation and protection of marine mammals in Niue and the wider Pacific.

Meaning "to treasure whales" the non-government organization comprises volunteers that help in the annual collection of photo ID, genetic sampling, acoustics, and sending this data off for analysis by expert scientists.
